Additional Courses for FE and HE Students

This is for FE and HE Students only. You will be contacted to arrange a date.

This is a 2 day LANTRA course and covers:

- Safety and legal requirements, with an emphasis on safe practices, warning signs and guards
- Recommended protective clothing for safe operation in all conditions
- Pre-riding checks and routine maintenance in accordance with the operator handbook
- Using the ATV safely in a range of different ground conditions

This is a two-day course which covers chainsaw maintenance and basic operations, leading towards certification via the awarding body, LANTRA.

-Safety clothing - HSE standards, various types
-Safety regulations
-Identification of safety features of chainsaw and legal requirements
-Safety awareness and chainsaw use
-Maintenance and working knowledge of power unit and cutting mechanism
-Safe starting procedures
-Safe use of chainsaw for cross cutting techniques
-Handling and stacking procedure
