Level 3 First Aid at Work
The course is Focused on those working/training to be a PE/Sport/Outdoor teacher/instructor/coach.
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
Safeguarding
Suitable for PE/coaches/instructors in Sport.
Protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions, or lack of actions, of another person. In order to safeguard and protect persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect.
The Bronze National Navigation Award
A practical hands-on award. It is aimed at people with no navigation experience whether you are new to the outdoors or have been relying on others, guidebooks or easy well-defined routes
National Indoor Climbing Award
NICAS is a "climbing" award which involves climbing with ropes and harnesses. This is usually done with two people, one climbing, and one holding the rope and lowering the climber (the belayer).Belaying techniques are a key part of NICAS.
