Visit to Sequani Ltd

Description

A series of visits to Sequani Ltd. in Ledbury. The first trip will be on 15.02.17 and the second trip on 22.03.17. Students will only be able to attend one of these trips.

Sequani Ltd. is a Contract Research Organisation which carries out a range of animal and non-animal research activities in pharmaceutical development, crop protection and environmental protection. This trip will provide a valuable insight into the animal research industry and laboratory animal management and welfare.

Busses will be leaving from the main carpark at 12.30.

The price of the trip on both dates is £3.

Description

A Tynsdale Farm Veterinary Practice training session on Wednesday 15th March 2017; 1.30 – 5pm; meeting in HE Farm Classroom (situated between the veal and dairy unit).

Please bring wellies and overalls.

A Tynsdale Veterinary Practice vet will lead you through this course where you will cover key calf rearing topics backed up by practical skills gained in the calf-house (half class room based, half farm based).

A Certificate (FarmSkills and XLVets) will be awarded for attendance and participation.

Trip to R.V.C. for tour of facilities and specific guidance on application and interview process for prospective students: Friday 17th March 2017; 08.00 – 19.00.

We will be hosted by Chris Hobson, Head of Student Recruitment at the R.V.C. We will tour the facilities and accommodation; meet existing students and experience an interactive lecture session with a member of R.V.C. staff. Chris will also provide detailed guidance on application and interview process at the R.V.C. Further details will be provided on booking.

Don’t forget to dress warmly if the weather is cold and bring phone and money!
